Yasmin Rafiei is a Reporting Fellow at the Investigative Reporting Program. She is also a medical student at Stanford University. Her writing is informed by experience in health policy. She has worked as an advisor to Canada’s COVID Task Force and as an analyst at Chatham House, a global affairs think tank, and she’s completed graduate studies in politics, philosophy, and economics at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. Her writing focuses on health care reform and has been published in The Guardian, Foreign Policy, The Globe & Mail and The New England Journal of Medicine, among others.
