Tim Richter
Tim is a strategic advancement leader with a record of building high-performing development programs that strengthen institutional growth and philanthropic impact. He most recently served as Senior Director of Development for the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where he led philanthropic efforts to secure support for research, scholarships, and key initiatives. He joined Berkeley Journalism in March 2026.
Previously, he served as Senior Director of Development for the College of Business at Sacramento State, advancing major gift efforts and donor engagement. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis.
