Subuk Hasnain
Originally from Pakistan, I’ve spent the majority of my 6-year journalism career telling stories back home (Karachi). I focused on investigative reporting and long-form narrative while I was there. I had the opportunity to tell a wide array of stories ranging from public transportation to Pakistan’s capital punishment system. I’ve also covered Chicago’s local government and business sector as a reporter.
My focus at UC Berkeley is on multimedia journalism as well as learning and fine-tuning the tools needed for in-depth investigative reporting. I’m drawn to stories of marginalized communities, not just in the United States, but across the world.
