Shannon Service
Shannon Service is a journalist and producer with nearly 10 years of television and media experience on projects for HBO, PBS and Free Speech TV. Shannon’s work has ranged from un-embedded reporting in Baghdad to spearheading the largest independent radio and TV collaboration in U.S. history to producing a live video stream from the base camp of Mount Everest. Her articles and videos have appeared online at The Bay Citizen, The New York Times and PBS’s Need To Know and her radio work has aired on NPR stations in Seattle (KUOW), New York (WAMC) and New Hampshire Public Radio. Shannon is a Masters Candidate in the Environmental Journalism program at UC Berkeley.
