Alsanosi Adam, MJOUR’16, is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, journalist & radio producer from Sudan, with an interest in social justice & human rights. Adam graduated from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in 2016. He has made more than a dozen short films across Sudan, an acclaimed short documentary ‘Losing Oakland’ in the U.S., Women of Singiti, Fishing Wood, Football Love, Kasalati and others.

He produced several long running award-winning radio programmes around peace-building in Sudan. His work is published on the NYTS, AJ+, BBC, DWTV, DW Radio Africa Link, Aljazeera TV & AJ-Documentary, Africa Direct, NPR, Financial Times & local media.

Adam currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya where he works as a researcher with Human Security Baseline Assessment project at the Small Arms Survey.

Adam loves all animals and they love him. He loves audio books, and telling stories.
