Michael Gray
Michael Gray, BA Journalism’78, is the Director of Features and Daily Enterprise at The Chronicle, overseeing its coverage of the arts, food and wine, lifestyle and culture; as well as supervising short-term enterprise. He rejoined The Chronicle in 2015; he previously worked as the paper’s deputy business and enterprise editor from 2011-2013. He has been an editor at several publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Baltimore Sun and the Hartford Courant, and is a proud alumnus of the one-time Hearst flagship, the San Francisco Examiner.
A Berkeley, Calif., native and graduate of UC Berkeley, he lives in Berkeley with his wife. He is an aficionado of Arts & Crafts-era arts and architecture and a local history buff.
