Lacy Jane Roberts is an audio and documentary producer and teacher, currently developing new shows for Al Jazeera’s new podcasting unit. She got her first taste of audio-making back in 2009 when she started a short-lived podcast called the Ladies Village Improvement Society. As a documentary producer, she’s currently working on a film about a Syrian teenager adapting to life in Canada for New York Times‘ Op-Docs. She has a masters’ degree in journalism from UC Berkeley, and her work has been seen and heard on PBS Newshour, The Atlantic, Here and Now, Al Jazeera, and NPR affiliates around the country. You can also catch her teaching podcasting classes with the Berkeley Advanced Media Institute.
