Katharine Mieszkowski
Katharine Mieszkowski is on the California Local News Fellowship team leading training, mentoring and support of the fellows, including recruiting and managing the team of freelance editors supporting the fellows. In her decades in journalism, Katharine has had experience in both local and national news, working in print, online and audio. Most recently, she was a senior reporter and producer at Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, where she worked on award-winning investigations of Amazon, Tesla and the nation’s largest banks. In 2022, she collaborated with UC Berkeley journalism graduate students on two Reveal episodes covering reproductive rights. Her reporting has also appeared in The New York Times, NPR’s All Things Considered and KQED’s The California Report.
