Irene Benedicto is an investigative and data reporter with ten years of experience working as a journalist.  She has covered breaking news and written in-depth long-form stories, local and international news from eight different countries on three continents, including the political hubs of Washington DC and Brussels, and three investigative data projects on migration, public health, and social inequities. At UC Berkeley, she is specializing in investigative journalism and to broaden her data skills.
