Gracelynne West is an aspiring audio and investigative reporter. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to transitioning to journalism full-time, Gracelynne served as a Special Education Technician serving youth with special needs throughout the San Diego Unified School District. West has also served in after-school programs, community organizing and civic engagement. She believes that her community-based experience helps inform her work as a journalist and hopes to continue to elevate the voices of the communities she serves.

Gracelynne brings a variety of different skills to the school including research and fact-checking. She also served on the extremism beat during the fall 2020 election season and learned hands-on skills focused primarily on cybersecurity and open source investigation.
