Emily Bender
Emily Bender is a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. After growing up in rural Illinois, she has lived in Alaska, Washington, Costa Rica, Maine and California.
Since her days on the family farm, Emily has gain valuable perspective on social issues through wilderness leadership experience, counseling of troubled youth, and extensive international travel. She has substantial experience with television production, from years of on-camera work for MTV to coordinating live tapings for HBO. Emily is currently working towards becoming a documentary filmmaker. She lives in Berkeley, California with her husband, Jon, and son, August.
