Charlotte Silver is a journalist based in the Bay Area. She is interested in stories that involve the law and abuse of power, particularly when they interfere with private life.
She has worked on stories about prosecutorial misconduct, preemptive prosecution of terrorism and profiling of Muslim-Americans. She has reported extensively from the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, where she focused on economic hardship, military abuses, war crimes investigations and the Israeli high court.
She studied history at Stanford University and is focusing on investigative reporting and long-form writing at Berkeley.
