Chan'Cellore Makanjuola

Class of 2021

Hello! My name is Chan’Cellore Makanjuola and I am a filmmaker from Dallas, Texas. I am currently a Master’s Candidate at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.  I received my BA in Digital Film and Multimedia Production from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio, Texas. During my undergraduate career, I made several short films and videos for my portfolio. I served as news anchor and reporter for OLLU’s student-produced newscast, The Lake Front, where I interviewed guest speakers, writers, students, and faculty to name a few. I later went on to serve as The Lake Front’s news director, producing several newscasts on current events relating to the OLLU community. The journalism skills I gained in The Lake Front, as well as what I learned as a film major, piqued my interest in documentary filmmaking. Overall, I want to continue making documentaries and share inspiring stories of people who make positive differences in their communities.
