Anabel Sosa

Class of 2023

Anabel is currently a researcher for the Human Rights Center investigations lab at the UC Berkeley School of Law.

Before attending the Graduate School of Journalism, Anabel was a reporter for the New York Post, where she filed notes from various street corners and cafés and traveled throughout the five boroughs reporting on crime, courts, and everything in between. While there she also spent time as a police bureau reporter working out of One Police Plaza and even investigated a cult. She later reported for The East Hampton Star covering COVID-19 and lifeguarding, and then as a general assignment reporter covering national news for CBS Inside Edition Digital. There she covered an ongoing case about an incarcerated man fighting to appeal his murder conviction.

She is reporting on death care and the funeral industry in California.
