Ali DeFazio

Class of 2020

Ali is in her first year at the J-School, specializing in new media. She plans to go into investigative journalism and is a research assistant at the Investigative Reporting Program. Ali is also a politics reporter for Oakland North.

Ali was a fact-checker and contributor to San Francisco magazine where she wrote stories on everything from repairs at the Oroville Dam to a snowman at the SF MoMA. She was editor in chief of her student newspaper, the San Francisco Foghorn. She started the award winning podcast, Trump 101.
