Ali Winston Wins NABJ Award

Ali WInstonAli Winston ’10 received a Salute to Excellence award from the National Association for Black Journalists for "Deadly Secrets: How California Law Shields Oakland Police Violence", a look at police shootings and restrictive state laws published by Colorlines and the Nation Institute’s Investigative Fund. Winston’s article stemmed from his master’s thesis, which was supported by the Investigative Reporting Program’s Mark Felt Fellowship.
