Gannett Award Finalist

“The Informants”, a Mother Jones exclusive on the FBI recruitment of informants inside Muslim mosques and communities across America, is a finalist for the Gannett Award in the category of ” Innovative Investigative Journalism.” The story was reported and written by Trevor Aaronson while he was a 2010-2011 Fellow at the Investigative Reporting Program. Aaronson, currently co-director of the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting, has won numerous press awards for “The Informants.”
