JoeBill Muñoz
JoeBill Muñoz is an Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholar, the recipient of the Walter and Betsy Cronkite Scholarship for Aspiring Foreign Correspondents. JoeBill is currently studying for a master’s degree at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He has been a Fellow at the Associated Press in Mexico City. Before that, he was a visual journalism intern at KQED, the local public broadcasting service, and covered law enforcement, city hall and affordable housing for Mission Local, a hyperlocal news website based in the San Francisco neighborhood of the same name. In his second and final year at Berkeley, he plans to produce a 25-minute thesis documentary film, and afterward, he hopes to launch a career as a documentary filmmaker.
Previously, JoeBill was an intern in sports broadcasting, TV production, and online video post-production. During this time he worked with ESPN and as a videographer on the Lone Star Emmy award-winning “The Pulse.”
