Recent Grads Win Awards For Films

At the Emmy College Awards in Los Angeles, Hunter Holcombe (2012) won first prize for his Master’s Project film “Exit Wound” that explores an American soldier’s difficult adjustment to life after returning from war. He also received the Bricker humanitarian award. Rebecca Friedman (2012) won third place at the Emmy College Awards and the National Geographic WILD Student Filmmaker Award for her Master’s Project film “Past Their Prime” that explores the world of geriatric zoo animal care, through Colo–the oldest living gorilla–on her 55th birthday.
