Trinity Joseph is a reporter who is a pioneer for change.
She graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 2014, with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Pan African Studies. She is now a Dean’s Merit fellow at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. Trinity’s concentration at the J-School is Video Reporting and Storytelling. Her goal is to be a TV correspondent and TV presenter. She focuses on short and long-form stories, with a special interest in producing, hosting, and presenting television pieces. She can shoot, edit, and produce. She is inspired by Soledad O’ Brien and Lisa Ling’s documentary style reporting. She is an intern at ABC7 San Francisco where she works at the assignment desk, assists reporters, and devotes time to help with the production of the Emmy Award winning show, Beyond the Headlines with Cheryl Jennings. Her passion for interviewing motivates her to ask beyond the surface questions. She’s talented at creating a space where interviewees reveal their deepest truths and answer tough questions. As a Woman of Color she hopes to widen the representational gap in the media.
