Rafael Roy
Rafael Roy is a documentary cinematographer and director. He has shot for National Geographic, CBS, KCET, and is a co-producer and Director of Photography on the upcoming feature length documentary, “Lady Buds” (2019). His own work often focuses on the periphery––documenting cultures outside of the mainstream and exploring the universal desire to connect and belong.
In 2018 he graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Journalism, where he studied documentary film and co-chaired the committee for Equity & Inclusion. He is now based in the LA area, where he co-founded “All Solid Things”, a boutique production company he formed together with his wife.
