Katherine Rose
Katherine graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Journalism in 2017. During her time at the J-School, she studied audio journalism. She was a School Merit Fellow for the 2016-2017 academic year, and completed her summer internship in Sitka, Alaska, with NPR member station KCAW, Raven Radio. Before the J-School, she spent several years working in public education including two as a Teach for America corps member in rural Alabama. Her experiences living and working in underserved communities inform her interest in reporting with a focus on rural issues, social justice, and education. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.ξShe now works at KCAW, Raven Radio in Sitka as the morning news host.
