Yanni Zou

A born and raised Beijing-er, Nina Yanni Zou is extremely passionate about media and technology, and eager to prepare herself as a multimedia journalist specializing in technology reporting. She is going to join AJ+ as a user experience architect intern this fall.

Before attending UC Berkeley, she acted as a social media and communications group leader for Microsoft ARD, working on a full spectrum of internal and external communication initiatives.

Prior to this opportunity, Nina was a user experience researcher for Microsoft CityNext Big Data Platform for six months, conducting research on data visualization and multimedia display. She aspires to apply her findings to explore the intersection between data and multimedia journalism.

Before arriving at Microsoft, Nina worked as the program coordinator in NBC Bay Area for a TV program titled International Innovators, the director assistant for Phoenix TV and CCTV Financial Channel.
