Vincent DiGirolamo
Vincent DiGirolamo is a professor of history at Baruch College of the City University of New York. His most recent publication is Crying the News: A History of America’s Newsboys (Oxford University Press, 2019). DiGirolamo has published widely on topics in American social and cultural history, including essays on photographer Jacob Riis, sculptor Beniamino Bufano, and the ashcan school of art. He also coproduced with Spencer Nakasako the award-winning PBS documentary “Monterey’s Boat People.” DiGirolamo has a B.A. from the University of California Berkeley School of Journalism, an MA in Comparative Social History from UC Santa Cruz, and a Ph.D. in History from Princeton University.
