Shawn Baldwin
Shawn Baldwin is a photojournalist and documentary photographer (formerly) based in Cairo, Egypt whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Stern, Newsweek, Vanity Fair, Bloomberg Markets and the New York Times Magazine.
Shawn lived in Baghdad for three years covering the war in Iraq while documenting the plight of the Iraqi people and the struggle of US forces serving there. Since that time he has worked throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe on stories ranging from extreme poverty in the slums of Mumbai to the revolutions in Egypt and Libya.
In 2002 he received a second place Magazine Portrait & Personality award in the Best of Photojournalism competition for his work in Afghanistan.
