Sarah Ravani
Sarah Ravani is a reporter with the San Francisco Chronicle covering Oakland and the East Bay where she focuses on housing, homelessness and public safety. Previously, she covered breaking news and crime for The Chronicle. She has provided coverage on wildfires, mass shootings and floods. She joined The Chronicle in 2016 after graduating from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Ravani taught J200 at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2021 and focused the class on coverage of schools and sports in West Contra County.
