Sara Martin
Sara Martin is a journalist and a first-year UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism student. She is a published photojournalist and reporter pursuing freelance journalism in the Bay Area, with bylines in Chalkbeat Colorado, The Denver Post, The Colorado Sun, Colorado Public Radio, Colorado Community Media, The Denver North Star, NHL.com and various other outlets. Before Berkeley and as a proud supporter of the student press, Sara served as editor-in-chief of The Metropolitan from 2020-24 at MSU Denver, where she rebuilt the newspaper post-pandemic and led a newsroom focused on accountability journalism. She has experience covering news on a micro-local level up to how legislation will affect hundreds of thousands of people in the state of Colorado.
