Sally Schilling
Sally Schilling brings Bay Area voices to life through word, picture and sound. She has reported on the veterans’ benefits backlog at the Oakland VA; major oil company Chevron’s impact on the Richmond community and the world; and how California’s agriculture legislation is hurting small farmers. Her stories have appeared on the PBS NewsHour, KQED Newsroom, KQED Science, the Pacifica Evening News, Free Speech Radio News and in the San Mateo Daily Journal and California Magazine, among others.
As a second-year student at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, Sally is strengthening her abilities as a storyteller and broadening her skills to include short documentary and investigative reporting.
She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Diego State University.
