Rigoberto Hernandez-Martinez
Rigoberto Hernandez is a staff writer and photographer for Mission Local, a UC Berkeley-run community website in San Francisco’s Mission District. He was born in Queretaro, Mexico, but was raised in San Diego. He studied journalism at Palomar College, San Francisco State University and now at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
A Metro reporter at heart, he has covered countless homicides, court cases, protests, and riots. He has interned at the Orange County Register, the Oregonian and KQED’s statewide news service, the California Report.
In his free time he can be found at Giants game, riding his bike around the city and dining out.
