Pearly Tan
I was born in Singapore and grew up in the humid country located near the equator. I began playing the piano when I was two, began performing when I was four and continue to love music till today. I now play the tenor ukelele and violin, and have played in various orchestras.
I love learning and decided to make journalism my career when I was 18 so I would have an excuse to go on doing what I would do anyway – wandering the earth to learn from people worldwide.
I believe in writing about people for people, and that the only way to be a journalist is to first be human. Because only those who can feel can write for others to feel. And it is only when we feel that we consider, think, and find change.
