Minahil Arif is a first-year Master of Journalism student at UC Berkeley, focusing on the multimedia track. With a strong foundation in writing and reporting, she brings experience from her time at Dawn, the oldest and most reputed publication in Pakistan. Minahil began her journey at Dawn with an internship, which led to a full-time role as a subeditor. In addition to her editorial responsibilities, she also wrote several articles for Dawn as a freelancer, further honing her reporting skills.

Her journalism aims to shed light on societal injustices, particularly in Pakistan, covering topics such as discrimination against gender and marginalized communities. At Berkeley, she is expanding her skill set in multimedia storytelling to amplify underrepresented voices and create impactful narratives across digital platforms.
