Manal Ahmad
Manal Ahmad Khan grew up in Lahore, Pakistan, filling her notebooks with stories, collecting rocks, nursing rabbits, and dreaming of the day she would see her name in a copy of National Geographic magazine. She holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from UC Berkeley, and specializes in short documentary film, feature writing and photography.
A perpetual wanderer, Manal lived in New York City for two years, where she worked at the Huffington Post, Isotope Films and DemocracyNow! She briefly moved back to her hometown Lahore, exploring an academic interest in history as a researcher for a Duke University Press book project about Pakistan. Manal recently moved to Madrid, Spain, where she is attempting to master Spanish, soaking in the city’s culture, and devising ways to find a job.
