Luiz Monticelli
Luiz is a multimedia investigative journalist and communication specialist. For over a decade, he worked as a reporter and editor for a local daily newspaper in Brazil, covering beats such as sports and politics. He also co-founded two local newspapers, designed five other periodicals and collaborated on countless journalism projects throughout the past twenty years. Before moving to the United States in 2017, Luiz served as director of communications for the Santa Catarina State Department of Agriculture. At UC Berkeley, Luiz has focused on mastering the art of open-source intelligence, multimedia storytelling and investigative journalism.
