Lena Dakessian
Lena is a freelance multimedia journalist, writer and artist. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008, she worked as a staff writer and editor at a Bay Area-based lifestyle publication reporting on culture, philanthropy, travel, profiles, food and real estate. As a first year student at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, she covered economics and development for Oakland North. In 2015 she was awarded a fellowship from AJ+. She currently lives in San Francisco.
