Laura Fitzgerald
Laura Fitzgerald is a graduate student at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and an audio enthusiast. She has reported on the city of Oakland’s land back policy efforts, the 2022 UC-wide strike of graduate student workers, the politics of protected bike lanes, and more. Her work has aired on The California Report, KQED, CapRadio, KALW, and KALX. Most recently, she was a political reporting fellow for CapRadio in Sacramento, CA where she covered California state politics. Before attending graduate school, Laura was a legislative staffer in the California State Assembly where she worked on policies pertaining to elections, voting rights, and campaign finance disclosure. A San Diego native, Laura is a graduate of UC Davis where she studied political science and Spanish.
