Kathleen Seccombe
Kathleen Seccombe is an alumna of University of California Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism where she studied documentary filmmaking. Her thesis film, ‘Growing Farmer,’ screened at the Napa Valley Film Festival in 2015. Currently Kathleen is an associate producer for CBS News. Prior to CBS she worked on investigative documentaries at the IRP with Lowell Bergman. She has worked in print journalism covering politics, economics, and the environment for the award winning newspaper, the Monterey County Weekly and the Santa Cruz based Adventure Sports Journal. In 2010 she helped produce the documentary, To Budget, Borrow and Save, about a student-run microfinance organization at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. The film was the recipient of a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council. Kathleen earned a degree in Politics from the University of California Santa Cruz. While she earned her undergraduate degree she interned for Congressman Sam Farr and headed an asset building program for low-income earners at the Santa Cruz Community Credit Union.
