Class of 2026

I’m an audio journalist and storyteller with a deep commitment to covering diverse, underrepresented communities. Growing up as a first-generation Latina-American in South Vallejo, Calif., I developed a passion for storytelling through the lens of my mother’s experiences as an immigrant. Now, as a graduate student at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, I focus on creating engaging, impactful audio stories that connect with listeners on a personal level.

From exploring language accessibility in local elections to highlighting the mental health impact of unpaid caregiving in the Latino community, I aim to tell stories that spark conversation and drive social change. With hands-on experience producing for KALW and KQED, I thrive in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines. I’m always looking for new opportunities to grow as a journalist and contribute to the rich, diverse landscape of audio journalism.
