Class of 2027

I’m an audio journalist and print reporter driven by a commitment to hold power accountable and tell stories that reveal the human impact of policy decisions. Currently, I cover immigration for Richmond Confidential, reporting on how local and state systems shape people’s everyday lives. My recent coverage helped bring renewed attention and funding to the Richmond Immigration Fund, underscoring the role of community journalism in driving real change.

Previously, I’ve worked as an audio intern with Voice of America and KSQD Santa Cruz, where I produced and edited stories exploring culture, identity, and migration. I also reported for Smithsonian Folklife, documenting traditions and the people preserving them.

Across both print and audio, I’m passionate about reporting that uplifts voices often left out of the narrative — especially within immigrant and marginalized communities — and about journalism that informs, challenges, and inspires accountability.
