Erika Aguilar is the director of podcasts at KQED in San Francisco where she manages the public media station’s podcast shows and strategy, and develops new content. At KQED, Erika has been a reporter, anchor, editor and producer. She joined KQED in 2017 after ten years of radio news reporting for KPCC in Los Angeles and KUT in Austin. During that time, Erika wrote and produced stories about policing, breaking news, homelessness and housing, government and the environment. She got her start in audio with the Next Generation Radio training program and as a journalism student at Texas State University. At Berkeley, Erika teaches students how to craft narrative audio stories for the radio and podcasts.
