Christopher O’Dea
Chris is Director of Production at the Graduate School of Journalism. Chris teaches J219 “Videolab”. Chris supervises all technical aspects of Berkeley Journalism at North Gate Hall. Multi-camera on-location, and in-studio experience. Past experience working with the Emmy Award winning technical team at NBC Sports at Olympics Games (2000-2008). Chris holds an MFA degree in Film/TV Production & Directing from UCLA where he studied under Russian filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya. Chris has directed/produced an award winning documentary “A New Normal”. Specialties: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite, Avid Media Composer; Final Cut Pro qualified. SAN network management for up to 50 users. After Effects; Motion; Adobe Audition; Hindenburg; Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, and mobile video/compression work.
