Christina Lopez
Christina is from Visalia, a mid-size town in Central California, where the smell of dairies, fresh citrus, and almost every other agricultural aroma you can think of is prevalent. Berkeley is a welcomed change!
Christina has tried her hand at various positions within the journalism industry. During her time in undergrad, she worked as a morning news writer at the local news level, a military reporter for the North County Times in San Diego County and as a web designer for a thriving bilingual children’s television program.
She is currently in her first year as a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley obtaining the tools and skills needed for a successful journalism career in the 21st century and beyond.
At a time when journalism and democracy are joining forces, Christina is recognizing the world we live in is much smaller than it seems. Inside every person is a story waiting to be told. Christina hopes to share stories from all walks of life in a way that will inform, impact, and influence.
