Angeline Bernabe is a journalist and producer with media experience in video, print and radio.  Her interests are broad and tends to gravitate toward stories that hold the powerful accountable.  She loves telling other people’s stories through video and applying traditional styles television storytelling to modern platforms like social media. Since moving to the Bay Area from Orange County, California, she’s worked with UC Berkeley’s Investigative Reporting Program in the Fall of 2016 as a research assistant,  NBC Bay Area’s Award Winning Investigative Unit as a News Intern in the Winter/Spring of 2017,  CNBC’s San Francisco Bureau as an intern in the Fall of 2017, and even spent her summer semester of grad school in New York City working for NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt as an AAJA News Fellow. Angeline holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Television, Film and Media Studies from California State University, Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in NBC Asian America, NBC Bay Area, Oakland North, Richmond Confidential, Her Campus and The University Times. She’s also received producer credit on two Dateline NBC shows. Bernabe is a co-director of the Student Broadcast Journalists affinity group for the Asian American Journalist Association’s national organization and was on the programming committee to create journalism workshops at the 2017 AAJA convention in Philadelphia. She is also the co-founder of Cal State LA’s Her Campus chapter, an online magazine and the #1 new-media brand for the empowered college woman. From 2015-2016, Angeline served as the station manger of Golden Eagle Radio, Cal State LA’s radio station.  She is very excited to graduate and is currently spending her last semester working as a Production Assistant for ABC 7 News in San Francisco.
