Angela Bass
Angela has produced stories for NPR’s Latino USA, PRI’s The World, KALW’s Crosscurrents, and KPFA’s Evening News. She’s also written for Land+People Magazine, the California Health Report, The San Francisco Bay Guardian, and VIA magazine, among other publications. She spent spring break 2009 in South Africa reporting on low-tech HIV prevention methods, summer 2009 covering health issues at The Baltimore Sun as a Kaiser Family Foundation media intern, and summer 2012 producing short travel videos in Stockholm, Sweden. From March 2016 to March 2018, she worked for the California Department of State Hospitals-Napa, managing the hospital’s internal and external communications programs before transferring to the department’s Sacramento headquarters to oversee its video and social media communications programs. She earned her M.J. from Berkeley in 2010 and a B.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State in 2004.
