Alyssa Perry
Alyssa Jeong Perry is a reporter and audio producer. Her voice can be heard on KQED, NPR, WNYC, and PRI. And her words can be read in The Guardian, The Nation, etc. Her work focuses on immigration, impacted communities and policy and has taken her across the globe to Central American and Asia. A few of her immigration stories garnered awards such as the Asian American Journalist Association student award in 2016. She also was Ford Foundation Global Fellow through the International Center for Journalists. And she’s a 2016 graduate of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where she studied investigative reporting and radio and was a Mark Felt Investigative Fellow. Before taking the leap into journalism, she lived for four years in Seoul, South Korea where she ate a lot of kimchi and noodles.
