Come hear how J-School alum and instructor Kara Platoni spent a year crashing labs, military bases, biohackers’ basements and probably your sofa in her quest to find the cutting edge of sensory science.
Featuring a Q&A with J-alum Eric Simons and a special musical performance by Teresa Lee and the Phony Platonis.

Eric Simons (’08) is the author of The Secret Lives of Sports Fans and the editorial director at Bay Nature.
Kara Platoni (’99) survived J200 back in 1997. Now she teaches it. Sometime in between, she was a staff writer at the East Bay Express, an editor at Terrain, and co-hosted The Field Trip podcast with Eric Simons.
