The Lemon Tree: An Arab, A Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East

Please join us for a discussion of a book three years in the making. Tolan’s book examines the Israeli-Palestine conflict through two people and their common past, weaving their families’ stories with the broader history of their peoples to forge a contemporary Middle Eastern narrative.

Note: This conversation is for the Jschool community only; you are also welcome to attend the book’s first public event, a conversation between Sandy and Jschool associate dean Cynthia Gorney, on Thursday, May 4 at Cody’s 4th Street, 1730 Fourth Street in Berkeley.
