J-School Senior Lecturer Joan Bieder will give two talks about her research

on the Baghdadi Jewish Community in Singapore and other parts of Asia.

The first is on November 13, 2003, at 10 am to the Jewish Federation of

the Greater Bay Area at Temple Beth Sholom in San Leandro, and the second

is on January 13, 2004, at 10 am at the Contra Costa Jewish Community

Center in Walnut Creek.
