More oil comes to the U.S. from Latin America than from any other region,
including the Middle East. This year 11 reporters from Sandy Tolan’s “Politics
and Petroleum” class traveled to five countries to chronicle the
political, social, economic and environmental consequences of oil production
in Latin America. Join the reporters as they show video and recount their
reporting challenges – from the
high-rise capitals of Mexico and Venezuela to the jungles of Ecuador and
Peru.
The class is co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies.
