Lawrence Pintak is Director of the Adham Center for Electronic Journalism at The American University in Cairo, and author of Reflections in a Bloodshot Lens: America, Islam and the War of Ideas.

Pintak will discuss his book, the gap in perceptions between “east” and “west,” and his “Middle East Summer Boot Camp” to train journalists to cover the complex issues of the region.
