Katie Galloway will discuss the future of the documentary program at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and, generally, what students need to know today to successfully practice the documentary film craft.

This presentation is open to the general public, including students, staff and alumni of the J-School, and will be followed by a Q&A session.

Katie Galloway has directed and produced numerous award winning films and series for PBS Frontline and POV, among others. Galloway taught documentary production at the Columbia Journalism School and now teaches Media Studies at U.C. Berkeley.
